The poem presents a sense of calm, imbued with drama. The tone is not unsettling but tranquil and relaxed, almost an invitation to meditate, and this experience is translated into Orlo exceptionally well with the smoothing and complex blend of the composition.
The blend of bergamot, mandarin, bitter orange and basil at the opening of the echoing the zest of life that the poetess was in search all her life, the carnal heart of neroli, lavender and ylang, envelope the sensual heart of the perfume with a touch of peppery elements and the grand entrance of luxurious leather notes, saffron, sweetness of rum and powerful oud at the soul of Orlo.
