Translated as 'The Hour of Truth', Hora de la Verdad - this uncompromising composition is inspired by the novel 'Death in the Afternoon' by Ernest Hemingway.
This continues the arc of Senyoko's perfumery - where the muses are art, music and literature.
An impressionistic olfactory painting of the Bullfight, of blood, sweat, adrenaline, dust, leather and toil.
The initial blast of orange and bergamot with coriander reflect the brightness of the midday sun, whilst the combination of contrasting peppers indicate sweat and tension.
Saffron mimics the dust and arid earth of the arena, but most prominent is the rose and geranium, which in this case, has a sharp, almost metallic edge - indicating the blood of the Matador, or that of the bull.
The Vetiver, Leather, Ambergris, Musk and Labdanum add a deep primal animalic thrust to the base of this unorthodox and bold perfume - giving an underlying warmth and depth to the sharper aspects of the top and middle notes.
This is a bold, bestial and brilliant perfume.
