Champaca is unusual in a sense that it is a floral fragrance that doesn’t smell of flowers, especially of champaca flower (Magnolia champaca or commonly known as champak, is a large evergreen tree in the family Magnoliaceae).
The perfume is centered around green tea note with a zesty lemon. The peppery coolness of neroli, bamboo and green tea soothes senses and restores inner peace.
There is a hint of freesia, which evokes fresh linen soaking up the sun; there is a great deal of yellow champaca blossom, but perceptible as a burst of something lemony and creamy, like magnolia with an undertone of honey. The flowers simply melt into the basmati rice accord to form a subtly peppery creaminess which releases the sharpness of the green tea and citruses. There is something wonderfully charming about the perfume Champaca.
