Ambre Royal is a resinous floral oriental perfume whose golden shimmer is amplified in the base by the hot, salty ambergris. Timeless roses and jasmine with sparkling notes of orange blossom and bergamot, deepened with patchouli, cedar wood and enhanced with a big warm amber molecule, expertly synergised to create a perfectly balanced but hypnotic and opulent perfume.
To wear Ambre Royal is to feel dipped in liquid gold and then rolled in fleurs de sel, the floral salt winnowed from the marshes of Brittany.
Behind the sparkle of the opening notes, soft creaminess of flowers awaits - a heart full of rosy, creamy orchid and the delicately leathery apricot note of Chinese osmanthus. Constantly caressed by resinous amber and the woody-salty ambergris, the vibe is never overtly floral. The flowers exist mainly to complement gold warmth of the amber with little splashes of watery, dewy freshness, and making sure that the composition retains its luminous weightlessness.
In the base of the perfume structure, earthy, chocolatey patchouli and sweet, creamy tonka offer incredible dark contrast to the shimmering brightness of the opening.
