To commemorate the House’s 90th anniversary, Le Galion takes to the sea once more with a new collection, a tribute to each decade – reinterpretations of the most successful creations, single flowers and new prestigious compositions developed by renowned perfumers, celebrating once again High Perfumery and timeless French elegance.
A leather based fragrance. Initially created in 1932 by Prince Murat, the first owner of Maison Le Galion, Esquive was recreated anew by Jean-Christophe Hérault in 2020.
From animal origins to synthetic creations, for centuries musk has mimicked the smell of skin, from the 1930s’ almost shocking animalic ones to the softer, freshly-showered white musks of the 2010s.
Jean-Christophe Hérault writes the scented tale of a sensuality that has travelled through the ages and kingdoms to culminate in a pure leather accord, with deeply resonating patchouli scents modernised by clean accents from an immaculate laundry blend brightened by pink peppercorn.
A combination of skin scents echoing between centuries, like a parade, a subterfuge, impossible to catch.
