Shy Mimosa Spring Edition // Fresh with a Twist

To herald the arrival of Spring - Shy Mimosa brings you three alternatives to the usual meadow fresh florals that adorn the air this time of year.

From the audacious Greek Luxury perfume house, Manos Gerakinis brings us Sillage X a piquant, melange of spices - redolent of some serious vintage male perfumery of the early 1990's. This fragrance is truly fantastic - provocatively androgynous - and flips the concept of what "fresh perfumes" should be.

This is spiced, crisp, sharp and edgy - imagine Catherine Deneuve in a perfectly starched oversized Gents shirt with upturned collars and very little else - timeless, classic and inherently sexy.

A trio of far flung olfactive beauties Damask, Levant and Bukhara from the celestial Ormonde Jayne arrived earlier this Spring at Shy Mimosa, and did not disappoint. The inviting orange glass bottles house a continent of ingredients like a perfumed travel odyssey - many from the spice routes and obscure outposts of civilisation.

The alternative "fresh" in this trio is Bukhara - sweet but grown up and elegant, bright yet warm, fruity whilst not a gourmand: Blackcurrant, Peach, and Tuberose create a sumptuous synergy of a different kind: solar, ripe and juicy.

And it will be difficult to pass up the very special Néroli Hasbaya by Atelier Materi, where the delicate freshness of orange blossom hovers weightlessly above the perfumery buzz note de jour "Pistachio".

This is airy, playful, joyous and an absolute delight to get lost in - imagine walking through blossoming trees in Andalusia, high on life and the dizzying scent of Neroli permeating through the early morning air of orange groves in bloom.

Come in and try lots of lovely new things that will inspire, uplift and tingle your senses.
